XP REMOTE CAN’T CONNECT TO RESOURCES

My xp laptops cannot connect/brows network resources on a win2k server, even though they connect. The error we get is “The network path \\windows2kser\Client could not be found”

Any hint on why or what might be the solution? Thank you
