xterms running nt4 on terminal server 4

Hi
I’m going for a job where the environment is Netware (the user database in the NDS I assume), A large number of xterminals running NT4 off citrix and terminal server 4. There are also unix servers which probably are solaris.

My first question is how do xterminals work – I assume the terminal server client lives in the rom. Any faqs or links? How do u attach one to the network, troubleshoot a down connection. What sort of cable do they use? Any problems with them? How do you upgrade themand generally troubleshoot them?

My next is regarding authentication. Both NT and Solaris will need to authenticate users which are kept in the NDS database. How do they authenticate and what sorts of problems would you get?
