your registry might be corrupt(code 19)

I am running w2k professional, somehow during my upgrade on service pak2 I lost both my dvd rom and cdrw drives. I try to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them, still doesn’t work. If I go to device manager and click on properties on the dvd and cd burner, I get an exclamation mark on the drive. And in the detail box it would say that ” your registry might be corrupt(code 19). Oh Also I try to complete removed any keys that deals with the cd rom drivers from the registry.
