Apple introduces the iPhone 4. It’s got 100 new features.
The iPhone 4 is 9.3 mm thick. Jobs says its the thinnest smartphone. It has a front-facing camera, receiver, micro-SIM tray, and camera with LED flash in the back. On the bottom, there’s a mic, 30-pin connector, and speaker. And on top, a second mic, second sleep/wake button, and noise-cancellation button.
It’s got a retinal display that increases pixel density up to four times in the same space.
There are 3 slits in the stainless steel structure which is part of the antenna system.
The glass is scratch resistant and gives better optical quality.
Jobs says the human retinal capacity is 300 pixels per inch.
iPhone 4 highlights.
The batter offers 7 hours of talk time, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, and 300 hours of standby.
It contains a 3-axis gyroscope with control for pitch, roll, and yaw.

iMovie works in portrait or landscape.
Jobs is adding multitasking to iOS 4 which is being renamed OS. He says it took longer to arrive because Apple wanted to do it right.
Jobs says Apple will sell its 100 millionth iOS device – iPhone, iPad, and iPod touches – this month.

Jobs demos iAds which will provide some extra income for developers – and Apple too. The new ads will not take the user away from the developer’s app. Apple sells and hosts the ads. Developers show where to put them and get 60 percent of the income.
A new iPhone app called “Face Time” is a video call which can be made between iPhone 4 callers.
What we’ve all been waiting for – the pricing. Pre-orders begin on June 15. It will be available for sale on June 24.
In 2010, the iPhone 4 will be released in 88 countries by September.
