Instant Search in Windows Vista is a gem

The more I work with Windows Vista, the more places I find the Instant Search feature located all over the operating system. The Instant Search is a much needed improvement for the antiquated search in Windows XP.

How well can search work in XP with Indexing turned off by default?

In any event, Vista stepped up and took search to the next level. From the Start menu, you can search for applications, files, documents, music, pictures, mail messages, offline files, etc. All of this happens instantly and I find myself typing the names of applications instead of trying to find them in the Start menu.
