It's a safe bet that most Windows users have used multiple versions of Internet Explorer. After all, it has been around for years now!
As each new version comes along, we move right into the new user interface and new features and promptly forget what it was like to use the previous version. As such, with IE9 looming, it is quite a trip down memory lane to take a look back at the earlier versions.
In this gallery, you'll be able to browse through the main user interface and several common dialog boxes from Internet Explorer 1 to Windows Internet Explorer 9.

With you partly - :) - Macs not as easy as Mac Lovers / Fans say.
With you partly - I like Macs Win PC's and -
would like Linux if I ever had it on a fairly powerful machine - and perhaps an easier distro.
I have one installed now on a PIII machine - Debian - but don't use that much because I have 3 monitors / computers that I regularly use and support Windows and Mac, but not Linux, also I don't have room for a 4th monitor. Excuses, I know
--- but that is the way it is for many.
You don't support it or, you don't have the time, or not willing to make it - for the average user - to learn Linux.
Though I hope it continues getting easier, as I believe it will - and will grow.
So I have a dead head Linux box - most of the time.
Have installed 4 distros so far, have not used any extensively.
Mac's don't have the shortcuts that Windows has - regarding alt + tab, home, end button functionality - Yes I know they have some functions but I am not happy with how they work to get around in text or Word processors. I also like in Windows that I can right click on a Windows Explorer window and click New > text document - cannot reproduce that on a Mac (that I know of), have to go back to TextEdit, then File new, save as, and navigate.
Set up Outlook anywhere / https over RDC - in Eudora or Mac Mail, not as easy - and Exchange compatibility is not there.
But there are advantages to every OS, once you tinker, study and find.
If someone knows a way that won't take too much work on my part (time), to make a Mac act more like Windows regarding, right click, new (whatever) document - and - how to make it work better in text / word editing programs then I am willing to listen / learn / follow links provided etc.
(TextEdit is my favorite included Mac Word Processor, and NotePad for Windows - I don't have a need to make words look pretty in general - which you can do in TextEdit and WordPad - pretty enough).
I just like to be able to jump through Documents quickly to be able to think, and re-word and edit, what I am trying to get across at the time. I mostly copy and paste my notes in a ticket system after editing in TextEdit/Notepad.
I am currently using an iMac, mostly because I like the clear 23" monitor.
I love to hate my Mac and PC, too lazy to love or hate my Linux.
Bottom line, Mac and Windows keep me in business, helping customers / end users access their server / E-Mail.
