Adventures with open source apps on Linux - Part 1

We're all geeks. We already knew many open source alternatives were as good as proprietary apps.

If the pictures are worth a thousand words, how many did you expend 'explaining' them? I use quotes because I think your giving the author more credit than is due.

While it would be nice to have some textual comments for the unenlightened, This gallery, for those that put a bit of effort into it, depicts the concept that open source software is as diverse and fully featured as that available from proprietary vendors. you have to look past it just being a few screenshots and look at the features that you can see in each of the screenshots. see that evolution is as fully featured as M$ outlook, impress provides everything that power point does, except the cost. Use your minds and look at what the auther is intending to express instead of waiting for them to rip open the top of your head and pour the knowledge in.
