\n\tSeptember 27 \u2013 30, 2011, the TechRepublic editorial staff hosted the third annual TechRepublic Live Event, where IT professionals meet to share their experiences and exchange their collective knowledge about business technology.

\n\tOne of the highligts of TechRepublic Live is the afternoon breakout sessions where the attendees decide what topics to discuss. This is what they were thinking about on Wednesday.
\n\tAnother highligt of the TechRepublic Live is the daily raffle. We raffle gadgets, cracked open devices, geek gifts, and other items acquired by an active inquisitive editorial staff.
\n\tDeb Shinder brought an autographed book for our raffle: Zero Day: A novel by Mark Russinovich.
\n\tThis is a wrist rest allegedly signed by Bill Detwiler himself – a collector’s item to be sure.

\n\tOn Thursday, we tried something a bit different – to claim your prize you had to introduce yourself to the rest of the attendees. This really helped break the ice at that night’s dinner/party.
\n\tThis was the last raffled item – the Acer Iconia Tablet.

\n\tFrom all accounts I have heard, the 2011 TechRepublic Live was a great success. Everyone learned from the experience and many new friendships were created.
\n
\n\tThe TechRepublic Editorial staff looks forward to an even larger turnout in 2012.
