I generally set the desktop to black, or, perhaps something very large and simple.
Screensavers are a different idea, tho, and these remind me of my favorites from (X)Ubuntu distros...

This is Nature's mathematics. Has anyone heard of Fractual Geometry? Plane Geometry is man's way of building things, Fractual Geometry is God's way of building things.

That's what revolutionized animated feature films.
