The only thing on the broad to speak of are the purpose built ASIC Ethernet controllers, flash memory a small control processor, LED and Ports. It's not like we're dealing with a highly complex core network platform.

I noted the manufacturer of the PSU and cooling fans. As for the chips, they're very clearly marked as YCL model number PH406466 (as can be seen in this, among other, images I posted: http://content.techrepublic.com.com/2346-13636_11-198520-22.html). YCL is Yongzheng Technology Company Limited (in Hong Kong), I believe. It's often difficult to track down specifics of all the internal components, but I always try.

I thought this was a poor cracking open article. You didn't even go over the chips, or what their purpose is for the most part. The first 8 pictures repeated how your new one was dual GBIC and Gb. There is a lot of components that are on the board that were not even covered as to their form and function.
