Gallery: 25 years of Macs

In the early 80s I worked for BBN (Cambridge, Ma)and we had one of the first Mac Lisa machines which I was lucky enough to work on.

Anybody else remember these beauties?

It was my first computer... wow time flies! 25 years from now. I loved designer fonts and to produce desktop publishing work with Pagemaker. Compared to IBM at that time, was revolutionary since IBM only offered character based screens, not pixels. I learned just recently about how Jobs took a class about fonts and decided to introduced them into Apple.
But since then, I only use IBM because of my work. Well IBM is now out of PC business with Lenovo. So I have an HP Laptop. With three to five years life span, maybe next one would be a Mac.

most serious graphic artists works on a Mac.
most serious music mixers work on a Mac.
most serious video editors work on a Mac.
why? because it simply faster to work on a Mac!

what the Pc good for? Games, word processing, and simple database management. which you can all do on a Mac anyway. oh, and another advantage of the pc? practice formatting and windows tweaking to make it run a bit faster. I certainly have my share of practice at work. ^^
