Gallery: Roadrunner: World's fastest supercomputer

OK, a 1+ petaflop/s supercomputer tested with a software that mimics more than 1 billion visual neurons and trillions of synapses, and with the primary task of ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S's nuclear weapons stockpile... kinda reminds me of the fictional Skynet and TheTurk (Terminator).

...but it can only play Crysis on medium settings @ 25 fps.



(Please note: the above statement is sarcasm...I know there's no graphics accelerator.)

I like it! But, if the're showing this to the public, they've already got something far more advanced cooking in the back room. Why does that worry me??
