I've been annoyed at Berners-Lee ever since he came out in favor Network Neutrality.

"Oh great!" I thought...
Another guy so focused on the Human/Machine interface that he apparently never stopped to think that "The WWW" and "The Internet" are two completely different things, let alone what the difference IS of MEANS. Even worse, he makes a perfect object for that favorite logical fallacy of humanity; The Appeal to Authority.
Yeah, I know... stop obsessing....
But I'm a Nerd! This is NORMAL behavior for me.

I think you are right Gonzalo. I'm not an advocate of Piracy, and I believe that people are entitled to ask for compensation when they create something new,useful, beautiful, etc. But even so, I think it stifles progress when restrictive patents are granted for "intellectual property". Keeps the lawyers busy and helps big business fatten their wallets, but it usually doesn't do much for society as a whole, in my opinion.

I'm no expert but I think "Copyright" protection usually makes sense, but "Patent" protection should be done away with.
