The HD2 is highest speced Windows Mobile device ever and is very popular in Europe. HTC brought the device to the USA with T-Mobile with a subsidized price of only $200. A big improvement over other WM devices is the amazing content partnerships with Barnes & Noble, BlockBuster, and Slacker. You won’t be looking all over for content on this 1 GHz Snapdragon device with its 16GB microSD card. You can even enjoy Guitar Hero on the device.
On the back you will find a list of some of the main specs and content partners.
T-Mobile does a good job with nice compact box designs with its higher end smartphones as you can see here.
The side has some colored design in slick, glossy finish.
These pamphlets were placed under the HD2 in a small compartment. The guide should be handy for new owners.
You will find a USB cable, stereo headphones, charging adapter, and a slip on case for the HD2.
It is nice to see HTC and T-Mobile including a case to protect the HD2 a bit and also add a bit of gripping action to the device.
There are four hardware buttons on the bottom of the display to make it easy to navigate.
The notification light is found in the headset speaker grill. T-Mobile branding can be found here.
Metal and soft touch dominate the back of this beast. A 5 megapixel camera with dual LED is also found on the upper part of the back.
It is not a small device, but is thin enough to feel comfortable in your hand and pocket.
4.3 inches of 480×800 resolution sure looks good in my hand.

Here you can see how the iPhone 3GS matches up to the HD2. The HD2 isn’t that much bigger, but the display completely blows the iPhone out of the water.
I thought it was amazing how much HTC was able to pack into the tiny Touch Diamond. Now we see the monster size of this device with specs that rival netbooks.
