The Celio REDFLY C8 was released a few months ago as a mobile companion to Windows Mobile devices. The REDFLY provides an 8 inch display and large keyboard with the Windows Mobile device serving as the CPU for the solution. The new C8N brings a media port to the REDFLY so you can now watch media content from your iPod, iPhone, Zune, or other portable media player. Celio also made a couple of minor improvements in the keyboard that improves the usability of the keyboard.
Both devices are the same size with 8 inch displays. Notice the color difference in touch pads?
The keyboard went through some slight changes, including the soft keys under the hinges and green/send keys moved outboard.
The right soft key is under the hinge with the red/end key off to the right too.
The REDFLY C8N keyboard is the same size as the original C8 keyboard.
Notice a difference between the C8N and C8 REDFLY devices? There is a small media port on the C8N.
The media port lets you plug in the $20 proprietary cable to media viewing capabilities.
The media cable (optional item) is about 6 inches long and has two ends that you can use with the REDFLY C8N.
There is a USB port and composite video connection for hooking up your device. The USB cable can be used as a third USB port on the device too.

The media cable connects to the back left side of the device.

C8N is the new model number that replaces the C8 device.
The C8N not only allows you to watch video content, but you can view small windows so you can do two things at once.
You can also watch video in full screen mode and playback is perfect.

The back of the black C8N has the media port over on the lower right.
Notice the larger bezel around the display? The C7 has seven inch display, rather than an eight inch model.
The back of the C7 is the same as the C8N without the media port.
The new model have a semi-gloss black finish compared to the soft touch burgundy color on the current C8 model.
