The Opera Mini 4 beta launched June 19 and the browser enhances mobile browsing in a few key ways. The primary enhancement is the ability to view a Web page as you would on a PC. Opera fits it to your screen with the same URL. No annoying WAP or “m” URLs required.

  • The Mini pulls off its browsing move by processing Web pages through its servers and then delivering them quickly to your mobile phone.

  • The Mini also strips down pages to the basics and suggests key areas to start. Context menus also make navigation easier.

  • Results are delivered to fit in your screen no matter what the size is.

  • Small screen rendering allows the Opera Mini to be used on phones that don’t fall into the smartphone category.

  • More importantly the latest Opera Mini delivers fast transfer rates.
