OpenSolaris 2009.06 Release

I have installed Open Solaris on a number of different hardware and virtual platforms. It is a pretty flexible OS. I am hoping that they finally got the domain permissions to work much easier on SMB shares. It is a capability that I am interested in.

I was just looking at the webpage, this looks really interesting!

Solaris was originally a network OS and I think they still want to be. OTOH, they don't want to lose the desktop market completely. The direction seems to be a little of each recently.
