Sony's Mylo is set to compete with a range ofpersonal-communication devices, including Danger's Sidekick and Nokia's 770 wireless minitablet.

Mylo, short for "my life online," is geared for instant messaging, Web browsing, e-mailing, music playing and photo viewing. Sony says the gadget is scheduled to begin selling in September for about $350.
