    The robotic hand seen here is flashing a V sign after receiving a prompt to do so from brain waves relayed from a human in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner. The man-machine interaction, which took place Wednesday in Tokyo, was carried out under the auspices of the Honda Research Institute and ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories.
