The telephone is a small beast, that is more similar to a UMPC that to smartphones that we are customary to see. The chip is an ATOM Z520 of 1.33GHZ, has 1GB of ram memory and uses Windows Vista Premium as operating system... and has a 40GB hard disc. This seem more the specifications of a UMPC than of a portable telephone. The equipment, obvious, is not small, measures 188 xs 84 xs 25.9mm and weighs 470g; but it includes a complete qwerty keyboard with display of 5 inches, connectivity to all 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and PHS (Personal Handy-phone System) the cellular technology of the network of Willcom. It is going to be on sale in Japan in June of 2008 and will cost US$1300.
I repeat... seems any thing except a telephone but this is a sample of the power that we'll have in the palm of our hands in a pair of years time .
