  • 20mm internal diameter replacement bearings

Speedysteve7 bought these 20mm internal diameter bearings from eBay for \u00a30.99p per pair. They are smooth and reliable and fit snugly on the pedal spindles. 40mm external diameter bearings were too large to fit straight in.

  • Pedals fitted with the new bearings

    Speedysteve7 reused the original springs.

  • Top plate

There is very little bearing shell material, which contributes to wear.

  • Bearings clamped in place

The left pedal has been ground down to allow it to travel fully. With some hacking out of Logitech’s injection molded plastic, there’s room to seat the bearings. These were epoxied and then strapped firmly in place.

  • All-important potentiometers glued in place

  • Repaired unit

Note the 8 visible M5 bolts that hold the bearing retainers. Pedal operation is very smooth and sensitivity is vastly improved. Speedysteve7 expects this will give him even even shorter lap times.
