The HTC T-Mobile G1 smartphone is not an iPhone killer but is a very nice phone for the avid Google application user that wants their Gmail and calendar synced on a smartphone.

It's juts that people don't actually look to see what suits their needs before succumbing to the media spin and peer pressure.
The HTC-P4000 has been out for nealry 3 years now, it was dancing circles around the 3G back then, before Apple had the first one out. But that doesn't matter, people need to be told what to buy, otherwise they will always sit back and wonder, scared ot make a purchase.
So when Apple fans jumped on the i-Phone bandwagon and the hype hit the media full bore people just started buying them in droves THINKING they had the most advanced device and great new feature sets.
Then they find it doesn't do this or that and say, 'I can't wait for the next generation, maybe they'll have.....'
IT'S OUT ALREADY!! You just bought the wrong device because you were too weary to buy what suited you, didn't trust the salesman on the store and listened to all the hype from i-Pod junkies who wouldn't know a worthy device from a hole in the ground.
But their college of high-school friends think they are SOOOOO cool!
Aqnd when I was a kid, it was just cool to carry a vinyl Adidas bag with you books in it. Glad we didn't have more than Pong and only one version available.
