Nagrand is a large area with many quests for level 62 to 68 level players. It is mostly wilderness with wide open spaces and islands that float mysteriously in the sky.
This is the view flying into Nagrand from Shattrath City.
Garadar is the main city for the Horde in Nagrand. The city is controlled by the Orcs of Mag’har. Many of the quests in the area will raise you reputation with that faction.
This is the entrance to the Inn of Garadar. Notice the mailbox on the right.
One of the most fascinating features of Nagrand is the sky. Floating islands, pink clouds, several moons — it is one of the more beautiful places in the World of Warcraft.
The Throne of the Elements hold many quests for adventurers.
This is the area that quests are given and collected upon completion.
The quest givers circle. Around this area are representatives of the Outland elementals: Fire, Water, Earth and Air.
Represents the Earth Elementals.
The chief fire elemental.
Water elemental.
Air elemental.
The Arena is the place to go for battle between Alliance and Horde players.
This is the place to go if you have accumulated enough points from the arena. PVP gear is sold here and is very high quality.
The Burning Blade Ruins are home to the first group of Ogres you will be asked to fight in Nagrand. If you are going to adventure in Nagrand, you better be prepared to fight hundreds if not thousands of Ogres.
The Ogres in Nagrand have a bounty on their heads and you can reputation fast by killing them.
But there is an interesting back story about the Orgres, which is revealed through a series of quests. They are not quite as mindless as we are lead to believe. This Orc is the key.
Members of the Kil’Sorrow clan are outcasts to all factions in Nagrand and are therefore very dangerous.
Even though the name of this are is Kil’Sorrow Fortress you are still going to have to get in there.
The inhabitants have embraced demonic influences — we can’t allow that.
Nice artwork.
Oshu’gun is really the wreck of an Aldorian space ship. But because it is made of crystal, it is being mined like it is a very large diamond. Will all that potential wealth you can imagine the various factions are fighting for control.
Get to close to these miners and they will attack you. Rightly or wrongly, they don’t trust you near their claim.
This area of Nagrand is noteworthy because so many boss mobs are here. This is Tusker, the matriarch of the Elekks — very similar to an elephant.
This is Durn the Hungerer, one of Seven sons of Gruul the Dragonkiller and he is not to be taken lightly. As you might imagine he has no sense of humor.
Durn is a Gronn, which play an important part in the story of the Ogres.
These guys patrol part of the roads of Nagrand. They will kill you if you get too close. They are representatives from the village called Sunspring Post.
The largest concentration of the Broken can be found here in Sunspring Post.
This is the Consortium Stronghold. The Consortium are some very aggressive capitalists and you can earn some nice rewards if you help them out.
There are several lucrative quests handed out by the Consortium.
The Consortium are a group of Etherals — essentially beings of light energy.
Another example of a midair tree with root ball.
The artwork in Nagrand is breathtaking.
This area looks menacing. This is either Forge Camp Fear or Forge Camp Hate. They are demon enclaves and mark an incursion by undesirable forces. There is a long set of quests dealing with this threat.
The demons use these machines to pull their kind from other dimensions.
This nightelf and his trusty Netherdrake needs your help to push back the demon invasion.
Notice the purple sky.
A flying mount makes this assignment much less difficult. This is an Orgre stronghold known as Warmaul Hill.
One quest involves the summoning of a boos mob to this circle up on Warmaul Hill.
Another area teaming with Ogres. The nearly closed ring near the top of the image is called the Ring of Blood. You can prove your self in a no-holds-barred match with some nasty participants.
Mogor is the last mob you will fight for the Ring of Blood quest line. His nasty trick is that after he dies once he reincarnates and you have to defeat him a second time.
Halaa is a contested village in the center of Nagrand. At any one time it can be controlled by the Alliance or by the Horde. Both factions are in constant PVP battle to either gain control or keep control.
This little camp is the latest home for Hemet Nesingwary, hunter extraordinare. Along with his band of intrepid hunters, they have quests for hunting the varied wildlife of Nagrand. The rewards are too good to pass up.
One thing to keep end mind while adventuring in Nagrand — it is at the edge of this world and you don’t want to fall off.
Nagrand is home to some famous Orcs and there is much Orc history here. The Great Mother line of quests will give you a new perspective on Orcs. Completing the quest also means that you become more attune to your surroundings and the ghosts of Orc ancestors become visible to you.
This place is called the Armory. There are some quests here that should not be missed.
The sky in Nagrand is colorful and dynamic.
Telaar is the Alliance city in Nagrand. As a member in good standing of the Horde, I couldn’t get too close.
This goblin commissions you to get him one of the eggs in that nest nearby. He suggests you use the trampoline to jump up to the nest. Of course, if you miss you might die, but life is hazardous in the World of Warcraft.
More of the race called the Broken can be found along the road out of Shattrath City.
This is the opposite view from image one in our Nagrand Travel Log looking back toward Shattrath City.
Overall, Nagrand is one of my favorite areas in the World of Warcraft. Nagrand is an excellent area to quest and gain experience — experience you will need as you move to higher-level areas.
