SpectraLink DECT cordless phones are more scalable than Wi-Fi phones because up to 80 of these phones can be simultaneously used in a 10 MHz wide band in the 1.9 GHz range. These phones terminate to a box that supports 8 phones at a time and connects to your VoIP infrastructure using SIP. Wi-Fi phones that use SpectraLink SVP (SpectraLink Voice Prioritization) wireless QoS can only support around 12 phones in comparison but allow you to use your own Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Phoenix Duet PCS noise cancellation speaker and Microphone lists at $150. It will compete with the Polycom Communicator C100S. The Duet has the advantage of hardware based noise/echo cancellation which means it can be used in any Operating System including Linux, Mac OS, and Vista. Polycom Communicator currently only supports Windows using software echo cancellation and Vista support won’t be available until Q3 of this year.
