10 connection limit

Hi

Is there any way that the 10 connection limit in XP Pro can be extended? We have a shared printer connected to a XP Pro machine but it can only accept 10 concurrent connections. The printer was originally moved off a Win98 machine and onto the XP because there were problems with the Win98 computer.

I know I can reduce the timeout before connections are dropped, but this does not help me. Does anyone know of a registry hack, or even third party software which can overcome this limit please?
