98 home directories on an NT server

I am setting up an NT network with Windows NT 4.0 SP 4 server and Windows 98 SE workstations.

I want to set up roaming profiles. I know they should go into the server home directory, but I can’t seem to get the home directory in Domain Manager for Users to actually map the drive. I have used the Connect to radio button and am using the UNC naming convention. The share is there and named the same.

Is it possible that even though the drive isn’t mapped, 98 still know this is it’s server home directory? Or should I upgrade to SP 5?
