A couple of questions about web servers

I plan to set up my own web server and small page to tinker with and start to learn the ways of doing that type of stuff.

Right now I’m going to do it on a Win 2k box and plan to use Apache web server.

I know I will need PERL, PHP, and MySql for some of the things I plan to do but what else would I need?

I’ve read some other stuff on here about hosting your own DNS server as well. Is that part of the web server or is that something seperate, and what would I need for that if it is?Then comes the email server. I’m read about Exchange 2000 but really know nothing about it.

And one final question, would there be any advantages to me using IIS 5.0 instead of Apache?
