A very Typical FDD problem in WIN2K

If I insert any Floppy, the FDD can read any data from it and can copy on HDD. But when I try to write on the Floppy it gives the following msg:

Error copying File or Folder
Cannot copy image: The disk is write protected.
Remove the Write-protection or use another disk.
This msg is given for all FDD installed on this
PC.
Can anyone help? is it a registry problem or is it a data cable problem ?
