About DMA transfer in ECP mode

I want to set parallel port in ECP mode,and input data from slave by DMA mode. My computer is Intel Pentium 4. My questions are:
1.Is the DMA controller in PC seperated from hardware of parallel port of PC?
2.Is the PC DMA subsystem based on the Intel 8237 DMA controller?
3.How to configure DMA controller and parallel port?(Would you like to give me an example in Assemble language?)
4.During DMA transfer, dose the data in FIFO of slave forward into the FIFO of parallel port automatically if there is avaliable space in the later?
