about visual c++

what is visual c++ and turbo c++,and what type of job would a person get who has a certificate in c++ programming,who lives in england,and what would the salaries range be?
there are some private institutions who teach c++,java programming etc,buta large amount of money has to be put in to learn it,the course time is 60 hours.Do you think I should learn it or try something else.
