Access 8.0 repair

Unfortunately our network has been failing lately, taking Access with it. After restoring the network connections I find Access has been corrupted, when attempting to repair using tools:database utilities:repair database the message “XXX is not a valid index, check the tabledef object…” The database window cannot be displayed although the forms and reports continue to function. Even though the data is still there I can’t recover the tables and must restore from a backup. Is there some other way to get the data? I have tried importing it from another Access database but I get the same message.
