I’ve a program to a customer.
This program is written in VB and use and Access database via DAO.
It runs smoothly in our office (wired lan) and in two of the customer’s PCs (wired), but on two others customer’s PCs it has a problem, after 5-6 minutes of inactivity, every action that involve the database cause a 3043 network error.
Data are on a local sever,
all of the customers PCs have Win98 with USR PCI wireless card (802.11g),
we’ve already formatted and reloaded these PCs with no success.
The problem seems related to the wireless connection.
Using the program with no pauses gives no error.
I’ve seen an article about WZC in Windows XP but there’s nothing of the kind in 98.
Could you suggest something to try for this ?
NB, code is not even necessary as we got the error at second operation:
1 – open database
2 – wait 5 minutes
3 – open a table – error (only in wireless)
