Active Desktop

by dford . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

I have enabled Active desktop for all students. Some students (about 5%) get an error “Internet explorer cannot find the active desktop HTML file…” when loggin in. Microsoft say it’s due to the mshtml.dll not being unregistered or corrupt. If I log on to the same machine as another user the error doen’t appear, blowing MS explaination away. I have tried writing a GPO logon script using regsrv32 to re-register the dll but this doesn’t work. Does any one have any idea? as google is no help at all.

Thanks.

Del.
