Allow Users To Repair Network Connection

by aakash shah . Updated 21 years, 11 months ago

I am trying to find a Group Policy setting or registry setting that will allow me to enable users to “repair” (Right click on network connection in Windows XP and click Repair) their network connections in Windows XP. Some of my users have wireless connections, and they sometimes need to be “repaired”. But, since I deploy these users only have “User” status on the computer, they are unable to perform administrative tasks such as repairing network connections.

Group Policy allows me to enable users to enable/disable the network connection by:
gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Network Connections -> Ability to Enable/Disable a LAN connection. However, I could not find an option for the Repair functionality.

Does anyone know how I can enable users to repair network connections in Windows XP?

Thanks.
