Alternative to Network Drive Letters

by mcavin . Updated 11 years, 10 months ago

In our current environment we are about 6000 users, of those we have about 70 different login scripts dived up between departments, and they are mapping about a total of 170 different shared drives. It is a nightmare. I am looking towards access based enumeration in the far out future as its going to be a HUGE shift for our environment. In the mean time I an curious if there is a way to get away from the drive letters and perhaps use gpo preferences to set environment variables or something to map drives based on security groups? Thanks!
