Application Data Folder on Old HDD

by gorssman . Updated 21 years, 6 months ago

I just had a system power supply go bad and take out the system board as well. After replacing the ps, motherboard, processor, memory, etc. We were unable to successfully load Windows XP off the original HDD. I put a new HDD in as primary and installed XP. In trying to get all the users data over and usable, I found I could not access the “Application Data” folder under “Documents and Settings” “Username”. I am trying to recover the Outlook files to bring them into the new instillation. I am stopped at the “Application Data” folder level with access denied. I tried to make sure that the user was exactly the same as the originating user on the old drive, but no luck. Any Suggestions?
