ARP Cache and Internet settings

Hi everybody

i hope you can help me with this problem. I am trying to troubleshoot an internet connection problem through a wireless modem connection and windows xp home edition.
I’m getting the “this page cannot be displayed” message.
When I repaired the wireless connection it had a problem clearing the ARP Cache. I fixed this by using the “netsh interface ip delete arpcache” command.
I’m still seeing “The page cannot be displayed”. I can connect to the internet through windows search.( start, search on the internet) When I hit a result it will load in explorer. But nothing will happen if I type a web address in the address bar.
Please help I’m pulling my hair out!
