ASP with Oracle 8i backend

I’m runing Personal Oracle 8i, Personal Web Server and Win98. I have been trying to write ASP pages to access an oracle database with ODBC. I use a DSN connection but receive an error when running the web page. I have tried to update the ODBC driver from Oracle but get and error that I need an updated Installer version 1.7.1.3.0. Does anyone out there have any ideas or do they have any fool proof code tips that I might be able to try. The database user/pass is demo/demo and the host stringis PO8. HELP!!!
