Autocad 2002 with mech desktop 6

I got windows xp with service packs 2, my cad 2002 doesn’t respond after i have click the icon from desktop. it was working fine with service pack 1, is it service packs 2 is the problem? is there a way to make it work? or do i need to upgrade to 2004 or others versions?
