autorunning a cd

I need to create a cd with some common programs that will be used by non-techie types. I’d like the cd to autorun and then open only a single window which will contain shortcuts to the respective programs. The users won’t need to see the respective application files. Can get the cd to autorun, but what instructions to use to get it to open a single window?
