Back Btn functionality in Netscape 6.2 +

Hi,
A JSP Site, I am trying to incorporate ‘Previous Button’ functionality using Javascript history.go(-1) object. While this works fine in IE, it refreshes the page in NN 6.2 and above which results in loss of user-filled form data.
Any help?
