Backing Up of Data with Novell 4.11

I recently purchased a Sony SDT-9000 drive and I am looking for the best software to use with my Novell 4.11 server. I also purchased ArcserveIT 6.6 but this software will not do a binary close on files that are left open by Employees..is there something that I can get that will BackUP my data using this drive or is there something better?
