Bizzare Office printing problems through

Last thing done on NT server, OS/to SP5, Exchange 5.5 to SP3.
All users are printing through several server network Q’s. The problem (not all users) is when they try to print anything in word or excel only blank pages come out. The temp fix was to print directly to the Pserver on the printer. The other bizzare thing is when some users log in (roaming profiles) they are ask to authenticate to \\almain18\C$, almain18 is an nt workstation?
