Blinking Cursor up Lft corner PC frozen

This should be an easy question for someone,
I get a blinking cursor in the upper left
corner and the system is locked after a period of time.
I have checked the power management in control panel and the BIOS.
I suspect the processor AMD K6-350
Any suggestions?
