My network connected HP Kajak (333 MHz, dual processor) frequently crashes upon restarting each morning. After the restart, I log in and just as I connect to the network I get the BSD with these error messages:
STOP 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x80003E2B, 0x00000001, 0x00000030)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Address 8003E26 has base at 80001000 hal.dll
Dll base directory Date Stamp Name
ntoskrnl.exe hal.dll
And the rest of the memory dump I’ve snipped.
This has happened intermitently during the two years I’ve had the machine. It now
seems to happen several times a week.
I use the machine heavily–Lotus e-mail, Microsoft Office 97, Pro/ENGINEER, Pro/PDM, Exceed X Window emulation all run concurrently.
Any ideas to stop this BSD?
Thanks,
Jeff Smith
