We are having terrible browswer master wars going on on our network. All kinds of NT servers, NT workstation and Win9x stations announcing themselves as browse master and causing these dreaded “election wars”. We are running WINS, DHCP & DNS (Microsoft), and are in a VLAN’d environment. We can’t seem to find any real good documentation/troubleshooting sources to tell us how to a) properly setup browsing and b) troubleshoot or “demote” machines that think they are browse masters. Can any of you help, please ??
