BSOD on XP when starting MS Office programs

I have a user who is pulling her hair out. Her XP SP3 computer worked fine until she opened MS Word 07. Then it went to BSOD. I repaired Office and it worked with Word. Then she opened PowerPoint and BAM! back to bad old BSOD. Short of wiping the OS and ideas?
