I would like to accomplish either of the following:
1. Either be able to connect using Remote Desktop to a client XP computer while a user is logged and interact with the user’s session (the user is able to interact with the session also).
2. Or, be able to connect using Remote Assistance, or Offer Remote Assistance to an XP computer without having to get the user’s permission.
I work at a Help Desk for a small business and I would like to be able to connect to my user’s computers when they need assistance. However, Remote Desktop doesn’t allow the user to see what I am doing and also requires that I know their password. Offering Remote Assistance requires the user to “allow” me to connect. This is a problem when I am doing work they requested during lunch, etc.
I realize that privacy concerns may be a concern in some environments, but that is not an issue here.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can approach this problem?
Thanks.
