C++ book(s) to recommend?

Hi,

I’m a junior developer with decent C programming knowledge. I’m now looking into learning C++, using Visual C++ 6.0.

I’d like to know what C++ books out there are THE recommended books to buy for learning C++ and why? I’m looking for beginner to intermediate books, which also cover file handling and input/output processing.
