Can I use an old hard drive in a new pc?

by shockscrew . Updated 5 years, 9 months ago

I’m upgrading to a new computer, but I still want to use my secondary hard drive from my current one. I know this might be a bit of a stupid question, but I just wanted to know. I have 2 drives in my current PC. One m.2 SSD that has my windows installation on it, and a 2tb hard disk drive for extra storage. Will I be able to use my hdd in my new computer, and will I still be able to use the files on it, or will I have to reinstall everything? My I already know I’m going to wipe my m.2 ssd clean before, so I can still have my fast boot times, so there is no need for advice about that, just my hard disk drive. Thank you for the help in advance!
